Life can be such a funky ride and time is so wild and perhaps also a thief. How do we constantly function in such mad and unpredictable conditions? Navigating through the unknown, the polarities, and the extremes of highs and lows. To think nature and humanity has been doing this from the start of time...
The resilience, the karma, the patience, the heartbreaks, the journey and the cycles... all for growth. The mystery of it all, making some become delusional and some creative. Change being the constant flow, and trust being the compass.
They say life is all about how you gently you let go... most times, easier said than done. This year, my life completely changed and most of it was very unexpected... My home sold, moved to a different state and lost my beloved kitty of ten years to coyotes...
Although, my soul has been craving change for some time, I definitely wasn't emotionally or mentally as prepared for all this to happen in such a short period of time.
As I say, '' Shift Happens '' and if you are in alignment with your purpose, expect the unexpected. Because it takes just a moment for everything to change. A split second and life can be completely on a different path.
Such is the flow of nature and the laws of the Universe. However, our emotions get in the way of these flows and even tho all is moving fast around us, when we do not accept this state of change; we become stagnant.
As human beings, it’s natural for us to reflect on our past experiences, both positive and negative. However, when we find ourselves constantly dwelling on the past, it can hinder our ability to move forward in life. Whether it’s regrets, mistakes, or painful memories, thinking about the past can impact our mental well-being and prevent us from experiencing joy and fulfillment.
The mind is a powerful force that shapes the reality we see everyday. The way we think about life has a direct impact on our emotions, actions, and outcomes. To let go of attachment from the past, you first need to understand how your thoughts and beliefs about the past can create emotional entanglements and will keep you stuck in old patterns.
These patterns may be obvious to you, or they may not be so obvious. With all the changes that surrounded me, I noticed how I was in a space of facing many of the fears that I have been worrying about for a very long time.
The main thing I realized and learned is that I don't want to approach my life with worry anymore.
Our mind can only think one thought at a time – meaning we can’t be in the present and hung up on the past at the same time. So one way to stop thinking about the past is to bring awareness to what’s happening right here and now. Embrace mindfulness, channeling our attention to the present, and to discover a profound awareness that liberates us from the clutches of the past. Self-awareness allows us to recognize patterns and triggers that may be keeping us stuck in the past. Through introspection and reflection, we can identify recurring thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are linked to past events or traumas. By focusing on the positives in our life and expressing gratitude for them, we can shift our mindset from dwelling on the past to embracing possibilities of the future.
Therefore, let's intentionally practice the motto ''don't be sad it's over but be grateful that it happened''.
Because one thing is for sure, nothing is permanent, as we are all visitors on this magical planet for an unknown time and we are here to create memories and to learn that life is about the art of letting go <3
